New French Law - be warned and prepared!
Every car in France will have to be equipped with a breathalyzer from the spring of 2012. The announcement was made by President Nicolas Sarkozy in a speech on Wednesday.
The new plan will force every driver to have a breathalyzer kit in their cars so they can check their alcohol level before driving.
The president's office said in a statement on Thursday that a kit costs just €1.50 to €2
Anyone caught without a kit will face a €17 fine.
The president also announced an additional 400 speed cameras between now and the end of 2012

I am restricting membership of the suntreckers facebook group to members of Suntreckers, and you will need to contact me here if you wish to become a member.
Only members of the facebook suntrecker group can read or write posts to the group.
In this way we have a forum with basic security to talk to each other and leave comments.
Like any online forum in a social network, it cannot be deemed 100% secure, so please think ‘could this info be used by the wrong people’ before writing anything.
Depending on the response and use of the facebook group, committee can, in time, re-consider a forum on our own website.

The motion to raise annual subscriptions to £28 was carried.
There were changes to the club officers;
Liz Stewart is now the Treasurer
Terry Gascoyne is now Equipment officer
Kath Gascoyne is now a general member
Ian Sinclair is now Publicity and Publications Officer and Webmaster

The theme in this olympic year is ‘suntrecker olympiad’ - what else....!
So come join in to win your medals and join us in the ‘taverna’ for varied entertainment everynight.
