A members experience

Liz and I have been naturists for many years  and fed up with the same surroundings of a landed club every weekend,  we joined Suntreckers during the summer of 2000.
Arriving at our first rally with nervous trepidation, the rally officer greeted us with a smile and welcome cuppa, helped us pitch up, and made us feel at home.
During that first weekend, despite some adverse weather, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, settling in  and making many new friends, in games of boule, invites for cuppa’s, etc, as well as the  more organised social gatherings, such as coffee mornings, evening bbq, etc, nattering away on a multitude of topics, some serious, some full of laughter until well into the night.
Before the end of that first rally we had decided that joining Suntreckers was money well spent.
In the remaining months of that summer season we managed to attend 9 more rally’s, seeing new places, meeting new faces, and enjoying the variety of activities that various rally officers laid on: From lazy rally’s where even a game of boule seems energetic to rambles, from tea and biscuits to full English breakfast cooked on a communal bbq.
From boule to bat and trap (Huh? What’s that?) –   well it’s a medieval form of cricket, what else !!
`Treckers can be an inventive bunch, and when the sun fails to shine the rain dampens everything except the spirit - Gazebo’s and tarpaulins appear from nowhere and nomadic looking shelters ‘grow’ so that the social life can continue until the sun smiles down again.
On the occasions that the sun gets to warm – (yes, even in the UK) – like the mystical crop circles, swimming pools (ok, kids inflatable paddling pools) have been known to appear in the middle of fields!
It never ceases to amaze me what some members carry in the depths of a caravan locker!!
Almost 12 months to the day from joining, we hosted our first rally as rally officers. Neither of us had any experience in this sort of thing, but with a little help from more experienced members everything went well, receiving a lot of appreciation for our efforts.
On the whole, Liz and I attend field rallies, loving the  basic facilities and natural surroundings, but on occasions we splash out on the rallies run at club sites, with the  usual  facilities of toilet blocks, swimming pools, sauna’s, club rooms, bars, etc.
Ten years on, and we still look forward to our weekends with the many `trecking friends we’ve made.
If you are an ‘old hand’ at naturism or a ‘newbie’; if you enjoy touring, be it with a motorhome, a caravan, a trailer tent, or a tent, give Suntreckers a try.
You won’t regret it, and maybe we’ll see you on a rally somewhere. Thank you for reading our story.  Happy Rallying !
